Back to the Future
In this passage God talks about the future of Israel, where they will prosper and grow. God says that in the past in anger He turned away from Israel for a moment, but never again shall that happen. Just like the flood Noah experienced, Israel will never experience God’s departure every again. And then God goes to talking about the future city, Zion, where His people will live. The building blocks of Zion are precious jewels and stones. God also goes on to tell Israel that He indeed is in control of everything going on and Israel will overcome.
I love this verse the best out of that passage. It really encourages me about the future and how we will be at peace, great peace. Its nice to be reminded during the turbulence of live that God is in control and in the end we win.
13 All your sons will be taught by the LORD,
and great will be your children’s peace.
Also some more good stuff.
14 In righteousness you will be established:
Tyranny will be far from you;
you will have nothing to fear.
Terror will be far removed;
it will not come near you.
15 If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing;
whoever attacks you will surrender to you.
16 “See, it is I who created the blacksmith
who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc;
17 no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and this is their vindication from me,”
declares the LORD.
