Isaiah Chapter 44
I Choose You
What’s apparent in Isaiah 44 and in the few preceding chapters is that God REALLY loves us and also REALLY wants us to love him back. The Israelites seem to worship several false gods/idols, and it seems as if this astounds God because he was the one who made them (us), formed them (us) in the womb, and he is the one who will help them (us), but the Israelites lose sight of this fact. Although the Israelites (we) reject God some times, we have to remember what Isaiah 44:22 says: “I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you.” Even if we walk away from God, we can still go back to him for he is the ultimate redeemer.
