Isaiah – Chapter 50

Know no Shame

6 I offered my back to those who beat me,
my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard;
I did not hide my face
from mocking and spitting.

7 Because the Sovereign LORD helps me,
I will not be disgraced.
Therefore have I set my face like flint,
and I know I will not be put to shame.

Isaiah’s obedience is similar Job’s as well as Jesus Christ. Digging even deeper, Isaiah’s pride is swept away and all there is absolute humility.

This so happen to be something many is all struggling with; especially if one achieved something through hard works.  Pride can easily be consumed as status inclines. It’s hard.

Changing this to 2nd person, if you were randomly spat on by some random fellow, how would you feel? What is the first emotion that comes to your mind…heart? You felt you were wronged. Injustice was bought onto you. You demand, justice!

This is something that cannot be change so easily. It’s part of human nature almost. Some of my cop out answer is read the bible, pray more. But you know what, only God can change you.
