Isaiah – Chapter 65
Judgment and Salvation
God has amazing patience, but when the point comes for retribution, he delivers. He will return back their sins with a full brunt of punishment. The Lord states that he will bring forth the remnants of Israel and punish those who forsake him with the sword. Interesting parallels to what he shares here with what Jesus says in the New Testament regarding those who do not heed his teachings. Those who did not feed the hungry, clothe the naked, are ignored by Jesus. Likewise here, God is saying that his servants’ needs are taken care of, but those who forsaken him will be ignored.
Then Isaiah goes into the new heavens and earth and how paradise will be restored. It is a very encouraging bit of which animals will no longer feed on each other but will live in harmony and suffering will be eradicated. I am looking forward to that day!
