Job 10

Is God sadistic?

3 Does it please you to oppress me,
to spurn the work of your hands,
while you smile on the plans of the wicked?

8 “Your hands shaped me and made me.
Will you now turn and destroy me?
9 Remember that you molded me like clay.
Will you now turn me to dust again?

Reading this, I just want to point out that in the end, God had protected Job and even blessed him. Although Job does not know it at this point, this is like a rhetorical question.

Therefore we can infer that it does NOT please God to oppress mankind, smile on the plans of the wicked, or destroy His own works with no reason.

While God is a just and powerful God, He does love and care for his creation. This is one example of His great love.
