Proverbs – Chapter 26

This chapter details the comparison of a fool to many activities of folly. It’s a guide as to why being a fool is not to be looked positively upon. Good things should not come to a fool, a fool should only beget folly.

18 Like a maniac shooting
flaming arrows of death
19 is one who deceives their neighbor
and says, “I was only joking!”

This is a good reminder for me because I am often the deceiver and I do it in good fun, but it can still be divisive and hurtful, much like the flaming arrows of death.
