Psalm 102

A prayer of an afflicted person who has grown weak and pours out a lament before the LORD.

This was my prayer to God last year during my times of trouble, it still is in some aspects.  But God has given me the grace and mercy and love to keep on going despite the current circumstances of my life.

What really stood out to me was not the agony the writer David was in, but the reflection on the steadfastness of God in the conclusion/ending part.

25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
26 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
and they will be discarded.
27 But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.
28 The children of your servants will live in your presence;
their descendants will be established before you.”

He knows no matter what situation he is in God still still be God.  And I think that brings comfort to him as well as hope.
