Psalm 119 65-80

This passage describes David’s 180 flip from sinful and blind to seeking God and obedience.   He once was lost but now he is found.  He was blind but now he sees.  I find it encouraging that David can write of such significant change.   It gives me hope that even I can change.  I want to seek God and I want to enjoy Him and bring glory to Him.  I want to obey His commands and delight in His law.  I want to meditate on the word of God.  Why can’t I just do that?  I know God is good and following His commands are good.  *SIGH*

65 Do good to your servant
according to your word, LORD.
66 Teach me knowledge and good judgment,
for I trust your commands.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I obey your word.
68 You are good, and what you do is good;
teach me your decrees…..

75 I know, LORD, that your laws are righteous,
and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
76 May your unfailing love be my comfort,
according to your promise to your servant.
77 Let your compassion come to me that I may live,
for your law is my delight….
80 May I wholeheartedly follow your decrees,
that I may not be put to shame.
