So what is restoration?
Webster defines it as “a bringing back to a former position or condition”
Why do we need restoration?
5 Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
6 Those who go out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with them.
Because there is currently something that is wrong that is sad. We know that in the beginning, what God created is was good. And we know that because of sin, we are living in a broken world. That’s what is sad.
Who will restore us and how?
1 When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.
The Lord will. In this chapter I don’t see explicitly how…but as we read through the bible we see that it’s through Jesus Christ
What’s our response?
2 Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The LORD has done great things for them.”
3 The LORD has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
