Monthly Reflection Prayers (February)
INTERNATIONAL Ivy, one of our missionaries in Macao, had a recent scare regarding her eyes. Fortunately, no surgery was needed. Pray that there will be no further complications and that she will continue to be effective in her work as a missionary of the Gospel.
PHILADELPHIA Last month, a fire escape near Rittenhouse Square collapsed. Pray for the speedy recovery of Nancy, from Asian Arts Initiative, and her friend who have broken bones in their back. Pray also for the family of the man who died in the fall. May the peace of Christ bring them through this difficult time.
COUNTRY In the past few months, we have seen an increase in gun violence in schools and malls across the country. Pray that God would use churches and organizations to impact local communities with the hope of the Gospel.
CHURCH Pray for our brothers and sisters around the world who suffer on behalf of Jesus. Pray that God would strengthen and comfort them and that they would rejoice due to the hope that is found only in Christ.
CHURCH LEADERSHIP As the old and new members of the Church Council transition and begin their term, pray that they may perform their responsibilities with integrity, faithfulness, and joy.
ESM As new families move into the community and visit our church, pray that we may exemplify Jesus, as we welcome them into our spiritual family both in speech and in deed.
WORSHIP “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge -that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”–Ephesians 3:17-19
